This policy explains how BV Valley of Tea ("Valley of Tea", "we") collects and uses your personal information when you visit valleyoftea.com or place an order with us.

What we collect and why

When you place an order we collect the information needed to fulfil it: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and your order details. We use this to process your order, deliver it, handle payments and returns, and comply with our legal obligations such as accounting and tax rules.

When you browse the store we automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type. We use this to keep the store secure, prevent fraud and understand how the site is used.

If you sign up for our newsletter we use your email address to send you updates about our teas and shop. We only do this with your consent, and every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card details. All payment providers we work with are PCI-DSS compliant, and payment data is encrypted in transit.

Who we share data with

We share your information only with the service providers needed to run the store: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment providers, and the carriers and fulfilment partners who deliver your parcels. Each of them may only use your data to provide their service to us. We never sell your personal information.

We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so by law.

How long we keep your data

We keep order information for as long as required by Belgian accounting and tax law. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@valleyoftea.com and we will respond within one month.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be) or the supervisory authority in your own country.
